Terms of Service

Senite is an independent project, currently operated by an individual developer rather than a registered company. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Senite lets you upload audio/video for transcription, and optionally translate or summarize the result, plus run real-time live-translation sessions. Processing is performed using third-party AI providers — see our Privacy Policy for the current list. Transcripts, translations, and summaries are AI-generated and may contain errors — don't rely on them for anything where accuracy is critical without independent verification.

You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Processing consumes credits from your account balance, including a one-time bonus granted on signup. Pricing and credit costs may change; we'll try to make any change visible in the product before it takes effect. Unless required by law, credits and payments are non-refundable.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the legal right to process (e.g. copyrighted audio you don't own or have permission to use).
• Upload content that is illegal, or that violates the rights or privacy of others.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, bot detection, or other abuse-prevention measures.
• Use the service to build a competing product by systematically extracting its outputs.

You retain ownership of the files you upload and the transcripts/translations/summaries generated from them. By uploading, you grant us (and the third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy) the limited right to process that content solely to provide the service to you.

Your content is not kept forever. Uploaded files and their transcripts, translations, and summaries are permanently deleted from our servers after the retention period described in our Privacy Policy, with no backup kept on your behalf. It's your responsibility to download or copy anything you want to keep before it expires.

This is a small, independently-run service without a formal uptime guarantee. You can check current system status at /status. Features may change, and the service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or provider outages beyond our control.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings — this immediately and permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate the acceptable-use terms above.

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of AI-generated output, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

If these terms change materially, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
